[microblaze-uclinux] RE: Booting problems on Spartan3ADSP-1800

I experienced now the same problem as you migrating from 0.40-rc3 to 0.40-final.

Did you find a solution? Could you tell me which one?

Hello,

We are experiencing some problems with booting Petalogix. I was wondering if this is a known issue or if anyone has seen similar behavior.

We have readymade image using Petalogix-v0.30-rc3 which boots nicely and works fine. And we have the cookbook, from which it was made – only when building it with our present system (ie. minimal modifications?), the booting suddenly experiences problems (while allocating memory), and cannot continue mount proc: and all other mountings and settings. We arrive at login prompt, but nothing is really working ...

We are working on the following configuration:

- Spartan3ADSP-1800 board

- Tools are 10.1 SP 3 on Linux PC

- Microblaze is 7.10.d (no MMU), MAC=XPS-ethernetlite

- Petalogix-v0.40-rc3

- Boots using XMD-debugger; U-boot is not used

Anyone seen this behaviour before and knows what direction to look ? Thanks in advance.
