I entered petalinux/software/petalinux-dist/linux-2.6x/scripts/kconfig/ path In the Makefile "the error comments are there
As your answer i can use menuconfig its working but I stick to use xconfig its widly used.
In my system qt installed in usr/shared/qt-3.1/
what i have to change
1. whether i have to write a envirponment variables setting how can i set?
2.I have to change Make file in linux-2.6x
3.Installing another package for qt

You don't have the necessary packages installed on your machine.
You probably want to do something like
sudo yum install qt4 qt4-devel
But I'm not sure they will be available for such an old distro.
just do 'make menuconfig' instead, but you'll need the ncurses-devel
package for that:
sudo yum install ncurses-devel
