Re: [partial-reconfig] Problem with xc2v1000 board

Patrick...

I've almost made up my mind on ordering the Memec Virtex-II board myself
for the same reason: the SelectMAP thing... but you say the JTAG
interface doesn't reconfigure it properly? Thats a concern...

A few days back I had posted about boards that would work for
applications that didn't require anything fancy, and there had been a
discussion on how the pins are arranged on the board and whether the
arrangement would create any problems... I had a look at this board's
data sheet, and it seems there are plenty of pins dedicated for such
things as interfacing with the DDR Memory, the LEDs, the DIP switches,
the LVDS interface and the various ports... this might limit where you
can place the reconfigurable modules, depending mainly of course on your
design and how many pins you need... the P160 user I/O slot seems to
access the pins mainly at the bottom edge and the right edge, whereas
the pins at the top edge are primarily for the other interfaces...

Please do share your experiences with this board...

Thanks...

:)

Sincerely,
Umar
