I wasn't suggesting that anyone would roll their own. I am saying that I
don't get why the software has never supported this. I would have to
assume that the software is not currently capable of setting a routing
resource as a locked feature that you then route a signal to, like you
*can* do with any of the logic resources. Perhaps the software could
designate some specific routing features as locatable features that can be
constrained like logic. Then the software could support routing based bus
macros rather than requiring logic be wasted for routing.
