I'm not seeing this warning when using a MicroBlaze and iMPACT to
combine the elf file and the bitstream. The title "Power PC Software
Files" in iMPACT is just misleading, it works with MicroBlaze elf files
as well.

But there is one thing I forgot in my last post. It is important that
you use the system_bd.bmm that was created together with your final
bitstream. If you use PlanAhead to implement the static and dynamic part
of the configuration, PlanAhead must also create the system_bd.bmm file.
 This is because if you go through the complete place and route-process
the placement of the BRAMs may change for two runs. If the mapping is
not consistent with the system_bd.bmm file the insertion of the
executable will fail silently.

This is where you have to add the system.bmm file. When implementing the
static part of the design a system_bd.bmm will be created. This
system_bd.bmm is the one to use with iMPACT.

Furthermore, you can add a debug module to your MicroBlaze system and
then use the debugger to connect to your MicroBlaze and download your
program.
