RE: [partial-reconfig] About the ICAP for V4

Luyi,

As far as I remember (I did not deal with this issue lately) you are
correct, there is no support in 8.2 for OPB_HWICAP for Virtex4.
On the other hand what you are missing is only the SW libraries but you can
still use the OPB_HWIPCAP if you will write your own driver.
I would suggest the following:
1. Look through previous emails in this forum - this issue was raised in
here before; there could be a good answer for you.
2. Try to adopt later version SW to use with 8.2.
3. Write your own driver based on the driver SW from Xilinx for V2.

Subject: [partial-reconfig] About the ICAP for V4

Hi, all

I am using EDK 8.2 with service pack 1 to build a PPC system used for a
partial reconfiguration system. I am using Xilinx ML410 board containing a
V4FX60. However, in the EDK project, I can not find the ICAP module, I
checked the OPB_ICAP in the "EDK/hw" folder, the OPB_ICAP components there
only support V2/V2P. Could anyone give some hints where I can find the
proper ICAP component for the V4 FPGA?

Thank you!

luyi
