Nicholas (Nick) Shuley is an Associate Professor within the School of Information Technology at the University of Queensland.  He holds Bachelor (1973) and Masters degrees (1975) in Electrical Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. He also holds the tekn.dr. degree (PhD) also in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, Göteborg, Sweden (1985).

He has almost 30 years experience in industry and academia as related to high frequency engineering including Microwave Associates (now M/A Com) in the UK, Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, Ericsson Radio Systems, Sweden, The University of Queensland and RMIT University, Melbourne.  He has consulted for the European Space Agency (ESA) as well as several companies in Scandinavia.   

He is a member of the IEEE and is an active member of the Editorial Board of the Microwave Theory and Techniques (MTT) society. His main research interests include computational electromagnetics, scattering and diffraction phenomena as applied to microwave and millimetre-wave antennas, radar and guiding systems.
