 ACM Programming Contest News
Note: in the first version, I asked for the date of starting your current degree – the correct date is the date you started at your first tertiary institution.

The regional contest was held in 2005 at QUT over a Saturday (17 September), with other contests held simultaneously in other parts of Australia and New Zealand.

Some History

I have been coach since 2003. Teams from UQ have generally done reasonably well though it has been a few years since we’ve won the regional contest.

World Finals

The world finals for the 2004 contest were in Shanghai in April 2005.

For the 2005 contest, world finals are at San Antonio, Texas.

2005 Contest

UQ fielded 6 teams, and took 5 of the top 8 places in Brisbane. Our top team was 3rd overall in Brisbane, and 11th in the region (Australia and New Zealand).
