Professional Involvement

IEEE

Tapan Saha is currently Chair of the IEEE Power & Energy Society Chapter of the IEEE Queensland Section. He was the Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary of the IEEE Queensland Section in 2005-06, 2004-05 and 1997 respectively. In 1998 he was the Web Master of the IEEE Queensland Section. Tapan Saha is currently Vice Chair of Queensland Electrical Branch of Engineers Australia.

CIGRE

Tapan Saha is actively involved with CIGRE. Presently he is working as a committee member in one of the Australian Panels, namely A2 (Transformer) and D1. API

Tapan Saha is actively involved with the Australian Power Institute  activities. He has been actively promoting power engineering education and research through API and related forums.

Power Generation Masters Program

CS Energy, Stanwell and Tarong Energy in collaboration with Central Queensland University (CQU), Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and The University of Queensland (UQ) developed and currently delivering world-class postgraduate programs in power generation that meet the needs of the Australian power generation industry and its current and future workforce.
