Abstract:In this talk we will give a brief overview of the current design of
the Semantic Web. Its current state is strongly based on and biased
towards description logic based ontology languages. However the
concept of rules is gaining importance. We will discuss which role
rule technology can be expected to play, either in conjunction with
description logics or as an aternative.
