Abstract:

The talk will include a description of the work he did whilst there,
integrating various Smithsonian collections management systems and
databases (Smithsonian Art Museum, Portrait Gallery, Libraries
Research Network, NMAI archives) to produce a single XML
repository. As well he'll describe the work he did extending and
refining the current indigenous collections management software:

Biography:

Bevan received his Honours degree Information Technology at the
University of Queensland in 2002 and began working at DSTC early in
2003 in the MAENAD Project.
