Abstract:In this talk I'll first give a overview on three areas of
bioinformatics research: Biochemical Pattern Analysis, Machine
Learning, and Literature Text Mining. This will be followed by an
introduction to some initial investigations the information ecology
project has been doing in the field, including knowledge discovery
from biomedical literature and a novel framework for 3D Protein
structure indexing and searching.
