Trip Report: Building an EDOC to J2EE mapping with Tefkat, and other activities in Berlin

Speaker: Keith Duddy, DSTC

When: 2004-09-14 14:00:00

Venue: 78-420

Host: (seminar host unavailable)

Abstract:

Keith Duddy spent May, June and July in Berlin at Fraunhofer Fokus
writing a declarative model transformation from the EDOC modelling
language to a model of a J2EE application. This involved comparison
of existing mappings implemented at Fokus from EDOC to CORBA
Components, and an on-paper mapping to J2EE proposed by the
Pegamento team. Keith also met with people interested in using MDA
for tracking requirements through to delivered software, and for
automated testing of software. He also took 100s of photos with his
Nokia 7600. This talk ranges freely across these topics, and
reflects on the state of the art of MDA, and of Berlin's art and
architecture.
