Abstract:HELP University College was established as HELP Institute over 20
years ago, and since has emerged as a leading private provider of
higher education in Malaysia, with an increasing international
profile. The challenges that HELP faces as an emerging private
university include identification of viable academic programs,
maintenance of teaching quality, academic staff development and the
inculcation of a research culture. In this talk Dr Choong will
address a selection of these issues, including how the connection
with UQ contributes to their solution.
