Interactive Online Laboratories
Speaker: Mr Gang Wang, ITEE
When: 2007-03-14 10:00:00
Venue: 78-420
Host: Dr. Mark Schulz
Abstract:iLabs is dedicated to the proposition that online laboratories ¨C
real laboratories accessed through the Internet - can enrich science
and engineering education by greatly expanding the range of
experiments that students are exposed to in the course of their
education. Unlike conventional laboratories, iLabs can be shared
across a university or across the world. The iLabs vision is to
share expensive equipment and educational materials associated with
lab experiments as broadly as possible within higher education and
beyond. UQ has been designated by MIT as the Australiasian hub for
the iCampus project.
Until now, there have been many implementations on the iLab batched
architecture, and the aim of this MPhil project is to make an
implementation based on the new released iLab interactive
architecture.
