Towards an Integrated Neural Modeling Environment: Bridging between Simulation and Experiment
Speaker: James Bonaiuto, University Southern California
When: 2008-03-11 10:00:00
Venue: 78-622
Host: Prof Janet Wiles
Abstract:This talk will introduce our lab's neural modeling environment which
consists of the Neural Simulation Language (NSL) and the Schematic
Capture System (SCS), a visual development environment for
NSL. Recently our group has also developed the Brain Operation
Database (BODB), a web application for documenting and comparing
models and relating their results to published experimental data. I
will discuss the design and applications of these systems as well as
our vision for integrating them into an environment for model
development and evaluation.
Biography:Jimmy Bonaiuto is a computational modeller working the Neural
Simulation Language (NSL) from Michael Arbib's group at USC. This
seminar will provide an overview of NSL and its current
developments.
