Studio 2 is a project-based course.In this course, the knowledge about design
process and information environment development were applied in the three projects
done.
Project 1 is an individual project. The goal of the project is to look
at the impacts interactive technology has on information display.
In this project
a user requirement document and interface design of a weather website were
produced. Selecting the target user group, planning for the user
interaction, and designing
the information display of weather information in the project has made
me gain experience and knowledge about interactive information display.
Project 2 is a continuation of the first project. In this group project,
two people combined their user requirements from Project 1 and continued
to develop the weather website by using JSP programming. Weather information
database
were provided. This project focuses on the technical side of interactive
information display and group process.
In Project 3, software used by a device to measure the bio-impedance
body fat analyser was redesign. The goal of this project is to gain
the knowledge
and experience in contextual design in which products are design to
suit the need of a specific user group in a specific context. By
doing this
project, I learned about the nature of human-computer interaction.
