Masters Studio 3 - Introduction

In Masters Studio 3, students were given the chance to come out with their own project ideas. The self-directed project consists of research, design and implementation part and is related to the Information Environment field of studies.

Interaction Design Evaluation of Interactive Art Installation

The basic idea behind my project is to use Interaction Design method such as ethnography and contextual interview to evaluate Interactive Artwork. The interactive art use as a case study in this project is called ‘Alice’s Tea Party’. The research has two main purposes:

  • To improve the interactive artwork by using the findings from ethnographic study and contextual interview.
  • Using technology in an art context can open up technological boundaries and generate new ideas, therefore it is speculated that the findings in this research can inform Interaction Design field and sparks ideas for further research.
