UQ Cyber is pleased to invite you to join us for drinks and canapes followed by a seminar from Dr Stephen Banghart of USA’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

In 1968, a group of graduate students at ARPA started taking notes as they discussed the future of the internet. Little did they know that those notes would go on to become one of the first internationally recognized networking standards. In this talk, the storied history of computer and internet standards will be traced through time and connected to the engineers and operators along the way that made it all happen.

Program

5:00 - 5:45: Registrations Open. Drinks and Networking
