What's on

  • A new IEEE C57.104-2019 Guide for the Interpretation of Gases Generated in Mineral Oil-Immersed Transformers was released in 2019.
  • The IEEE working group has completely revised the IEEE guide and a new method for rate of change of gas has been developed.
  • This webinar will discuss the changes in the IEEE C57.104-2019 and how rate of gas formation is calculated for laboratory DGA results.
  • Rate of gas formation helps to investigate if the issue in the transformer is – transient, intermittent or continuous. Changes in rate of gas formation can also indicate deterioration or stabilization of the fault.
  • Two examples will be discussed.
