Dr. Sameera Samarasinghe – Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Power Systems of the FutureInnovation Team, School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, The University of Queensland, Australia.

Sameera Samarasinghe received his B.Sc.Eng. (Hons) and M.Sc. Eng. Degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, in 2014 and 2016 respectively, and the PhD degree in electrical engineering from The University of Queensland, in 2021. He worked as a laboratory instructor at High voltage engineering laboratory, University of Peradeniya. He is currently a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the Power, Energy & Control research group, School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, The University of Queensland. His research interests include transformer condition monitoring, corrosive sulphur, overhead conductor condition monitoring and machine and deep learning for condition monitoring applications.

About Australasian Transformer Innovation Centre webinar series

The Australasian Transformer Innovation Centre (TIC) will deliver a number of webinars in 2021. Our Continuing Professional Development courses are designed to fill the training gaps for personnel working in electrical utilities, generation, renewables, mining oil and gas, manufacturers and service staff

These webinars will typically be 1 hour to 4 hours long, and offer great learning outcomes at low cost.
