Abstract:
In my talk, I will introduce the QUT Digital Observatory, a research facility within the QUT Research Infrastructure. I will talk about the ongoing Australian Digital Observatory project funded through the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) in partnership with the University of Melbourne, University of New South Wales, and Queensland Cyber Infrastructure Foundation (QCIF). In particular, I will talk about our ecosystem approach to building research infrastructure particularly targeting the Humanities, Arts, and Social Science (HASS) space and its challenges.
Bio:

Dr Marissa Takahashi is the manager of the QUT Digital Observatory under the QUT Research Infrastructure. She is also the project manager for the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) platform project called Australian Digital Observatory. Marissa holds a PhD in Business Information Systems, an MBA from The University of Queensland Business School and MSc in Information Engineering from Kyushu Institute of Technology in Japan. She has worked in the private industry and other research organisations. Her research interest lies at the intersection of business, technology, and innovation. Her PhD research focused on Collaborative Research Project Networks and Research Impact using qualitative method and social network analysis.
