Researcher biography

Dr. Trakic has been awarded the Bachelor in Electrical Engineering (Honors Class I) and the PhD in Biomedical Engineering degrees from The University of Queensland in 2003 and 2007, respectively. Since 2007, he has been a full-time research-academic at The School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (ITEE) for more than 12 years. Dr. Trakic has been awarded the prestigous ARC Postdoctoral Fellowship (2010), Smart Futures Fellowship (2013), Advance Queensland Fellowship (mid-career) (2018) and the UQamplfy (2021). He has contributed more than $2.3 million in research grants. Dr. Trakic has taught 9 different courses at the University of Queensland over a period of nine years.
