Researcher biography

Dr Md Mejbaul Haque (M'2015) is currently working as a Research Fellow/Lecturer in the School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (ITEE) at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia. Prior to joining University of Queensland, Dr. Haque was a Research Fellow in the School of Engineering at Australian National University, Canberra, Australia in "Realising Electric Vehicle-to-Grid Services" project whihc is funded by Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) and ACT Government.

He received his PhD and M.Eng degrees in Electrical Engineering with Thesis Excellence Awards from CQUniversity Australia in 2016 and 2020 respectively. Previously, he received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET) and Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Bangladesh in 2010 and 2013 respectively. He is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of EEE, KUET, Bangladesh. He is serving as Industry and Local Arrangement Co-Chair in IEEE i-COSTE 2021. He has served in the organizing committee of past IEEE SPEC 2020 and IEEE i-COSTE 2020 as Chair (Students Activities). He was a member of IEEE PELS student subcommittee 2020.

He has authored and coauthored more than 33 technical papers including book chapters, journals, and conference papers in electrical engineering. His research interests include power quality, power electronics, renewable energy technologies and smart grid. He was a recipient of the best paper award in IEEE R10 HTC 2017 and received travel grants in IEEE R10 HTC 2017, IEEE IAS 2019, and IEEE PESGRE 2020 conferences. He is a member of Engineers Australia and a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Queensland.
